View and Edit Items

View and edit of items are handled in "view_items.php" file. We link this file in the "View Items" sub menu in "Inventory" main menu. When visit to the page, it shows all items we created. When click on "Edit" link, item editing panel shows in the right side panel. That because when you click on "edit" link, it refer to the same page, but with a url parameter "id" and with a value of the product id of the database table. In PHP we write argument to show the editing form, only if this URL parameter is passed to the page. Low Stocks and BOQ Reports

In the low stocks report shows all the items that the current stock balance is less than the previously set limit. This is called re-order level, and we set it when the product is created. In the BOQ report shows all the BOQs created. This is a customer wise report.

Products Inventory Control System

This system has a categorized product inventory control system. Products are building construction raw materials such as cement, steels, sands, blocks, tiles, etc. The company has a central warehouse that stores all raw materials and issues to sites from there. So the inventory control system is developed on that concept. Every product is belongs to a category. Therefore the inventory control system is consists of following database tables. Categories Items Categories table has only category ID and the name. Following the structure of the categories table. Items table has Item Code (primary key is an auto increment integer), Name, Part Number, Category, Low Limit and Unit. _Part Number is an internal code to identify and search the product when issuing, Low Limit is the minimum stock level the warehouse should maintain and the Unit is the scale of products such as Meters, Liters, Pcs, etc.
